These guidelines are for all WCGB conference participants (chairs, speakers, and discussants) to establish expectations.
The chair can be critical to the success of a session. The principal challenge for a chair is to enforce time allotments. A presenter that runs over his or her allotted time is using time that belongs to another presenter or to the audience. WCGB asks chairs to do the following:
Keynote Lectures:
30 minutes including 5 minutes discussion time.
Session Presentations:
25 minutes including 5 minutes discussion time.
Each session room computer will be equipped with USB ports. Please bring your presentation on a USB memory and submit it in the session room at least 15minutes before your session. The conference room will be equipped with a projector, screen, laptop computer and microphones for your use. There will be a PC staff to support presentations in each session room.
The preferred formats are PowerPoint and Adobe PDF.
All presentations must be made and held in English.
The presentation file should be named using the session and the presenter’s family name.
When building your presentation, use standard fonts (e.g., Times Roman, Helvetica, Arial, New Times Roman), standard fonts are included on the session room PCs but if an unusual font is used it may not translate.
If using a Macintosh laptop computer, please note that you need to supply your own and bring an adaptor to connect your PC to the Mini D-sub 15 pin PC cable connector.
Please note that no preview or speaker room will be available.
Hotel confirmations will be emailed to you from rikky@ifengcongress.com once your reservation has been confirmed. You will not receive a separate confirmation from your hotel.
The participants are required to enter and exit the conference areas wearing the name tag, and not to lend the name tag to others. Non-participants are not allowed to enter the conference areas without permission.
Please keep all your belongings (laptop, mobile phone, etc.) with you in the public. The conference organizer is not responsible for loss or damage of property.
The organizer reserves the right to change the conference date and venue due to force majeure events. Authors are obliged to observe and cooperate with the organizer's decision.
